چکیده

• First mitogenome of subfamily Langiinae has been sequenced. All four currently recognized subfamilies were recovered as monophyletic. was the first to diverge within Sphingidae. Barbourion suggested be removed from Ambulycini, and placed in “Smerinthinae incertae sedis”. To date, a relatively complete classification Sphingidae (Lepidoptera) generated, but phylogeny family remains need fully resolved. Some phylogenetic relationships still uncertain, especially taxonomic status its sole included genus species, Langia zenzeroides . begin address this problem, we generated nine new mitochondrial genomes, including that , together with Theretra oldenlandiae our previous study 25 other mitogenomes downloaded GenBank, analyzed investigated mitogenomic differences among members Langiinae, Sphinginae, Smerinthinae Macroglossinae. The varied 14995 bp 15669 length. gene order all newly sequenced identical, containing 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNA 22 transfer genes A + T-rich region. Nucleotide composition T biased, exhibited positive AT-skew, which reflected nucleotide composition, codon, amino acid usage. region comprised nonrepetitive sequences, contained regulatory elements related control replication transcription. We concatenated third codon positions protein coding rRNAs excluded, using Maximum Likelihood Bayesian Inference techniques. monophyletic contrast most recent studies, preferred tree rather sister Sphinginae. Our results also support removal smerinthine tribe Ambulycini an unresolved position

The hawkmoth fauna of Pakistan (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae).

This study represents the first complete modern account of the Sphingidae of Pakistan and takes the form of an annotated checklist, based on several national collections and those of a number of individuals. Of the 60 species and subspecies found, 14 are new records to the fauna of Pakistan, namely Agnosia orneus, Langia zenzeroides subsp. zenzeroides, Polyptychus trilineatus subsp. trilineatus...

The Complete Mitochondrial Genome of the Beet Webworm, Spoladea recurvalis (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) and Its Phylogenetic Implications

The complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the beet webworm, Spoladea recurvalis has been sequenced. The circular genome is 15,273 bp in size, encoding 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), two rRNA genes, and 22 tRNA genes and containing a control region with gene order and orientation identical to that of other ditrysian lepidopteran mitogenomes. The nucleotide composition of the mitogenome ...

The first complete mitochondrial genome for the subfamily Limacodidae and implications for the higher phylogeny of Lepidoptera

The mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) provides important information for understanding molecular evolution and phylogeny. To determine the systematic status of the family Limacodidae within Lepidoptera, we infer a phylogenetic hypothesis based on the complete mitogenome of Monema flavescens (Lepidoptera: Limacodidae). The mitogenome of M. flavescens is 15,396 base pairs (bp), and includes 13 pr...

Complete mitochondrial DNA sequence of the endangered fish (Bahaba taipingensis): Mitogenome characterization and phylogenetic implications

To understand the systematic status of Bahaba taipingensis within Sciaenidae, the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) sequence of Chinese bahaba has recently been determined by long PCR and primer walking methods. The complete mitochondrial genome is 16500 bp in length and contains 37 mitochondrial genes (13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes and 22 transfer RNA genes) as well a...
